New bike course and finish line for the Carglass® Cologne Triathlon Weekend 2016

We are happy to present to you our new cycling course for the Carglass® Cologne Triathlon Weekend. We find it to be much better than the old cycling course and especially safer for our athletes, since the road surfaces are better. In addition, we think you will be faster on the course!

The southern circuit of our cycling course will not change from that used last year, however there are various changes to the northern circuit. The following roads will not be ridden this year:

Emdener Straße
Bremenhavener Straße
Edsel-Ford-Straße
Römerstraße
Senfweg
Blumenbergsweg

Instead, the complete Industriestraße, including parts of the Bernhardt-Günther-Straße and the Scarlettallee and about 300 meters of the Neusser Landstraße will be used.

Our finish line will no longer be on the Rheinboulevard, as planned, but instead a few meters away on the green section on the Rheinboulevard in front of the RTL building (Kennedy Ufer 11, 50679 Köln). The entire Rheinboulevard is not entirely removed, but the new finale is also beautifully set along the Rhine. From there we will have a fantastic view of the Cologne Dom and the Rhine bridges!

Here you will find the new provisionary plans for the new bike course and the finish line. The final plans are expected to be published on our homepage the end of this week:
