The Organization committee of the CARGLASS Cologne Triathlon Weekend would like to introduce themselves.
 
 After the successful resumption of the Köln Triathlon in the summer of 2005, in which 850 participants took part, the Köln Triathlon enthralled you yet again in 2006. In its second year the event boasted a total of 1200 participants and was voted the most popular triathlon in the "land" Northrhine Westphalia. 
 
 2007 saw a new highlight; “Cologne226” which is the new long distance event in the region. Also new were the two day competition, the 45km lap bike course and the Cologne city center finish line. In total more than 2000 athletes registered for the 2007 event. 

In 2011 you´ll see our event grow even more. For the first time we are host of the (open) German longdistance championchip on our Cologne226. The Cologne Triathlon will include the Friday before race weekend, were the CologneKids will do their races. Saturday will start with our CologneSmart at about 10:00 am. From 12:00 am on CologneOlympic will start. The holy Sunday will be for the longer distances (half- and long-distance). 
 
 Each member of the Organization Committee is a seasoned and passionate Triathlete and between us we have competed in hundreds of triathlons. This race and organization experience will be applied with great enthusiasm to the Cologne Triathlon Weekend!
 
 We hope the Triathlon will be a fantastic event for you whether you are a beginner, amateur or professional athlete.
